Season 3 - Update 1.4.0

Commanders, ready your arsenals—the battlefield is about to shake.

Server Maintenance Alert
Mark your calendars: On April 3, 2025, at 07:00 AM UTC, Mechabellum will undergo a 5-hour maintenance period to deploy Update 1.4.0, the explosive first half of Season 3.

The Abyss has arrived: A new titan roams the skies

Brace yourselves for Abyss, a colossal aerial Titan designed to rain devastation on ground forces. Armed with area-of-effect attacks and a suite of game-changing techs, this unit is poised to rewrite battle strategies. But be warned: even the devs are sweating over its balance impact. “Adding a Titan like Abyss is terrifying,” admits the team. “Expect tweaks in the coming weeks as the meta adapts.”

Abyss Tech Highlights:

  • Photon Loop: Every 30 seconds, gain 15 seconds of 30% damage reduction and immunity to debuffs like Acid or Electromagnetic effects.

  • Smoke Bombs: Disrupt enemy targeting with 10 smoke screens every 45 seconds, slashing their range by 35%.

  • Saturation Bombardment: Unleash 16 shells in rapid succession—but prepare for a slower reload.

Survival mode just got heavier: Meet Mountain

Season 3’s new Survival/Brawl Mode Titan, Mountain, is a walking fortress. With armor that shrugs off 1,000 damage per hit (scaling with rank) and cannons that fire rockets every 15 seconds (22,500 damage each), this unit is your new best friend—or worst enemy.

Mountain’s Key Techs:

  • Extended Range Ammo: Trade 75% attack power for +160 range.

  • Gun-Launched Missile: A high-risk, high-reward orbital strike perfect for obliterating clustered foes.

Balance changes

The meta’s shifting, Commanders. Here’s what you need to know:

Unit adjustments

  • Arclight: Health cut by 14% (4,635 → 4,004), but its Armor Enhancement tech now boosts HP by 50% (up from 35%). “We’re dialing back its survivability without neutering its anti-swarm role,” says the team.

  • Mustang: Attack slightly reduced (37 → 36) to curb its dominance against high-HP targets.

  • Hound: Fire Extinguisher radius buffed to 38m for better crowd control.

Specialist & opening tweaks

  • Amplify Specialist now grants +400 HP (up from +200), while Supply Specialist deducts -500 (from -400).

  • Early-game openings like Sabertooth/Crawler and Hound/Mustang see HP bonuses adjusted to shake up early strategies.

New Sabertooth variants

  • Extended Range Sabertooth: +30 range, but -40% HP/ATK.

  • Mass-Produced Sabertooth: Cheaper to recruit, but weaker stats.

  • Improved Sabertooth: Faster, tankier… and pricier.

Reinforcement card ipdates

  • Acid Bomb and Advanced Defensive Tactics costs reduced.

  • Underground Threat now summons 36 Crawlers (down from 48).

  • Key cards like Heavy Armor Mustang and Assault Fang buffed, while Subsidized units move up in card tiers.

Quality-of-Life upgrades

  • AI Difficulty Toggles: Fine-tune 2v2/Brawl matches to your skill level.

  • Spectator Tools: Watch live Specialist drafts with timers visible.

  • Countdown Clock Sounds: No more missing your Specialist pick—the game will literally tick-tock to keep you alert.

Final words from the devs:
“Season 3 is all about high stakes and bigger explosions. Abyss and Mountain will test your adaptability, and the balance changes should keep the meta fresh. See you on the battlefield—and remember: Titans aren’t invincible… just ask the players facing yours.”

Stay sharp, Commanders. The war for Mechabellum just leveled up.
