2v2 Tournaments, new Unit and game-changing balance!

Servers will enter 4-hour maintenance during the rollout. Gear up for 2v2 tournaments, a fierce new unit, and sweeping balance shifts!
New Unit: Hound
🐾 Hound (100-Supply Chaff Unit)
Mechanical pack hunters that shred light units at medium range! Equip Tech to clear acid/fire hazards and disrupt enemy strategies.
Developer’s Note: The first new 100-supply chaff unit in 7 years—expect ripple effects in unit counterplay! We’ll monitor Hound’s impact closely for future tweaks.
New Mode: 2v2 Tournament

Compete in weekly Sunday tournaments with 16 players (8 teams).
Strategize with allies, climb ranks, and claim glory!
4-Player Brawl Overhaul
The mode gets major updates to boost diversity and late-game flexibility:
Dual Reinforcements: Pick 1 equipment/modification and 1 unit reinforcement each round.
Catch-Up Mechanics: Earn extra points/supplies for defeating the leading player’s units.
Boss Unit Adjustments:
Rounds 3/6 Bosses now spawn at the map center.
Bosses removed from Rounds 7-10.
New/Revised Systems:
Added [Inefficient Recovery] to Research Center.
[Redeployment] now available by default.
Developer’s Note: These changes aim to increase build variety, ease pressure on leaders, and empower comebacks!
Balance Adjustments
Unit Unlock Costs Overhaul
Free Unlocks: Sledgehammer, Steel Ball, Stormcaller, Tarantula, Mustang, Sabertooth (all 0 cost).
Reduced Costs: Wraith & Scorpion unlock cost 100 ➔ 50.
Developer’s Note: Early-game strategy just exploded! Expect chaos—we’ll monitor balance closely.
Key Unit Tweaks
Fortress
Production per batch ↓12 ➔ 10 | Interval ↑30s ➔ 32s.
Developer’s Note: Slight nerf to overpowered [Fang Production].
Vulcan
ATK ↑2% (88 ➔ 90).
Goal: Boost viability against light units.
Rhino
ATK ↑8% (3297 ➔ 3560).
Goal: Improve value for its 50-supply unlock cost.
Overlord
Missile HP ↑10%.
Goal: Better survive anti-missile systems.
Hacker
[Barrier]: Cost ↑300 ➔ 400 | Shield HP ↓20k ➔ 16k per level.
Wraith
[Degeneration Beam]: Cost ↓250 ➔ 200.
Tarantula
Rank-up EXP ↑23% | ATK ↓3% (550 ➔ 534).
Developer’s Note: Reign in early snowballing vs. high-HP foes.
Raiden
[Fork]: Cost ↓250 ➔ 200.
War Factory
[Armor Enhancement]: Cost ↑100 ➔ 200.
Phantom Ray
[Stealth Cloak]: No longer dodges pre-invisibility bullets.
Other Critical Changes
Initial Unit Nerfs:
Steel Ball/Arclight opening HP bonus ↓400 ➔ 100.
Tarantula/Fang opening HP bonus ↓200 ➔ 0.
Variant Adjustments:
[Mass-Produced Fortress]: ATK/HP reduction ↑30% ➔ 40%.
[Improved Tarantula]: Removed ATK boost | Speed ↑3 (was 5).
[Extended Range Phantom Ray]: Range ↑30 (was 20).
System Updates:
[Elite Recruitment]: Now +1 rank to all purchasable units.
Lobby matches now sorted by MMR by default.
